Default 2004 Freestar AC compressor?

I have a 2004 ford freestar sport 4.2L I recently had to replace the serpentine belt as the old one snapped. It ran well for about a week now there seems to be a noise coming from the AC compressor and the pully "wiggles" when I try and move it with my hand. When the original belt snapped there was smoke coming from the pully area of the AC but I chalked it up the belt rubbing on the pully after it snapped, but am rethinking that now. when I turn on the ac when the van is running the rpms drop and occasionally when turning into a parking spot the van will stall.
Any ideas?? I am guessing something with the AC unit is affecting everything?

Thanks

Sounds like the pulley bearing is bad...

Check with the OEM dealer for a new one, should be an easy fix

Actually sounds like your A/C compressor is siezed. I would try to see if you can turn the compressor by hand. A siezed compressor will cause the belt to smoke as the pully won't turn when the compressor clutch is engaged. It will also cause the engine to stall as you described.
