4.2 motor, starts and run fine, driving along it suddenly just dies. restarts ok, and I can continue the drive. It does this randomly, and not very often. I found a thread on here that's a little similar that mentions a fuel pump module might be the cause. Any one else have this problem with a Freestar?

 

Check for stored codes. Fuel pump module will usually set a code. Some models have the module mounted externally exposing them to some harsh environments..Your best bet is to connect a scan tool and monitor live data during actual driving conditions and hope it acts up.
