[X(]I ahve a 2004 Freestar , 63K miles in immaculate sharp and engine is well maintained. Started engine one morning and let run for 1 min. Next day I went to start and nothing. No sound. Engine is lifeless. No lights, no ignition startup, no nothing. Tried to Jump start, nothing. Same results. No lights, no idication of battery charging. Is it the battery or something else. At one point I notice a ticking noise. However, I do get a beeping alarm noise near the back of vehicle (do not know what that is), Help?

Try placing the battery on a charge. Direct ignition engines do not like flat dead batteries, and jumper cables will take forever to charge the battery.

 

Looks to me that the warning beeps in the rear are the reversing sensors so this means the gearshift or the gearshift switch is in reverse and the van will not start in reverse. Let me know if you get this solved.
