2004 ford freestar 3.9 eng
load squelling noise from eng when cold
tried a new belt tensioner did not work it sounds like something is
trying to lock up it will kill the eng all the pulleys seem free only does it when the eng is 1st started going to try it with the belt off tonight
anybody got any ideas ?

 

Does it do this with the A/C "ON" and "OFF", or just "ON"? Sounds like the same senario I had when my A/C compressor crapped out about 3 years back.

 

after taking belt off noise was still there
turned out to be the cam interuter takes a act of congress to get it out
but i got it out and had to order a new one thankx for the help
