van engine suddenly turned off
my vehicle is Ford Frestar 2005 sport van.
Actually today's while driving, suddenly my van engine turned off, I got almost an accident I was kind shocked because it never happen before.
Today after job i start the van and drive about five minutes I was in city around 40 km and suddenly the engine light appear, the starring jam and brake pedal was so so hard i was not able to push it, and the engine turned Off, all theses things happened in five secondes.
What it can be?

HARD brake sounds like a brake booster problem. Check engine light and engine shutting down in conjunction with the hard brake sounds like a vacuum issue between the booster and the engine. I would start with pulling for codes, then check the vacuum line between the booster and the engine. The hose may be bad or came off some how, or the brake booster has failed.

i just check with OBD ll reader and it show no error at all.
i use this reader OBD ii wifi: http://www.x431update.com/photo/x431...5958_73084.JPG
and the app in my iPhone is: EOBD-Facile
is there a better app than this one or other way to find the problem by myself?
thanks

It is possible that no code was generated. The CEL coming on could have been just associated with the engine turning off. I would start looking at the vacuum line between the brake booster and the engine. You may need to remove the upper and lower cowling to get to it as it's buried back underneath the cowling. If your plugs and wires haven't been replaced in quite some time, now would be a good time to do it if you remove the cowling.
