Default wheel bearing

why is the cost of these so high ( $284 ) and does any one have a diagram for r & r ?

The wheel bearing/hub is a completed assembled and sealed unit. The front hubs are a LEFT and RIGHT while the rear hubs are interchangeable between the LEFT and RIGHT. Dealer cost for a front or rear hub should only be about $225-250. You can get one from ROCKAUTO.COM for about $160. To remove a front hub, remove the tire and brake caliper assembly and rotor. Then remove the center axle bolt and washer. Remove the three retaining bolts ffor the hub and pop the hub off. May need a thin chisle to unseat the hub from the steering knuckle. Install reverse order.
