Default 2006 Freestyle losing power

I have a 2006 Freestyle, it's overcharging the battery. I have replaced the alternator twice, battery twice, starter, computer and ignition coils. Runs good for a couple weeks and then I lose power because it keeps frying the battery. All the lights on dash go out except for battery light and car runs but very little acceleration. Is the voltage regulator inside the alternator? Not sure what else to look at. Any suggestions appreciated.
