Goodmorning, I was hoping I could get some opinions on an issue with my 2016 1.5 liter Fusion. It has the manual climate control with the single on/off push button to turn the system on along with tuning the fan and temperature ****.. The issue i am having is that the system ( doesn't matter if its heat, ac or just vent from the outside) comes on by it self. If I push the button to turn the climate control off sometimes it will immediately come back on by itself, sometimes it waits a few minutes or sometimes the next day but it always turns itself back on. The issue has been going on for a few months but has progressively gotten worse. Without tearing the car apart or throwing parts at it I can think of relay, resistor, a shorted out wire or ground, or the on/off button itself is bad. Any ideas to get me pointed in the right direction are appreciated. Thanks

 

It might be a good idea to verify the on/off switch/button is working correctly and go from there.

Sometimes a relay can get activated from an unknown source and this would have to be confirmed also.
