Just traded my 2016 Ford Fusion Titanium EcoBoost for a 2018 Ford Fusion SE EcoBoost. Noticed that on the new Fusion engine compartment their is not a engine cover. The Ford dealership said that my 2018 production date was 08/2018, and Ford stopped installing the engine cover although the cover studs are present. Does anyone know why ford decided to do this and can a after market cover be installed on the vehicle. Thanks

 

Probably stopped to save money. Just buy one from the Dealer. I'm assuming that you have the 1.5L engine as fordparts.com list the date for the cover from 7/15/13 thru 5/8/18. They list the cover for the 1.5L at $75.
