Default Wipers jerk at startup

I recently had to have my 2015 Fusion in the shop due to a parking lot accident not of my doing. Since I have had it back I have noticed that my wipers jerk (not come on) at startup. I have noticed that sometimes on startup this does not happen, but it happens more frequently than not. I have tried to Google this issue unsuccessfully. I did read one entry that mentioned it might have been caused if the battery was disconnected for some reason. I have not done this, but I do not know if the body shop might have disconnected the battery during repairs and painting. Any input about this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have had Audis, and VWs that move the wipers on startup. When the car is parked and the engine is stopped, the wiper blades move into a position such that over time they will work better rather skipping across the windshield. I am not sure if this is what you are witnessing.
