Something fishy with electronics
I have a 1995 mustang with a 3.8L V6. One day I was making a cross country trip and everything was working fine. Gauges all normal and everything. I stopped at a gas station and turned off the car. When it was time to get back on the road. I went to start my car and the power position on the key turn, I had all power. As soon as I turned the ignition to the start position there was a click in mystarter and then I lost all power. I opened my hood to check the battery and all the connections were tight and clean. all the connectionsfrom my battery to my fuse box were tight and clean.I checked all my fuses and they were not blown. Everything checked out but I was not getting any power. I recieved a jumpstart and when we were hooked up I was just getting the one click-lose power symptoms again. when we were positioning the Jump cables...we were not getting any spart when we tuched the terminal. I looked at the fuse box again and moved thejump cables again and then I wasgetting spark. I went to go start it up and the car fired right up. I was told that my battery may have a bad cell in it and that I should change the battery. I did just that and everything worked fine for my 700 mile trip. When I got here I put the car in a garage and let it set for 2 days. I tried to start itup again and it did the one click-lose power yet again. I only pressed down on the fuse box housing and I got power back and it started right up. I checked my wires and looked for a ground but it was all plastic and I could not find any grounding parts.
Does anyone have any sugestions?

I corrected the problem. the positive terminal cable was loose. not where it connected to the battery...but where the wire went to the terminal connector.
