Default Starting problems 76 Mustang 2

My son and I just aquired a 76 mustang 2. It has been sitting for 2 years. I just replaced the solenoid, starter, and battery cables. I have had a fully charged battery in the car and I have had my truck hooked up to the battery to give it a jump. I just get clicks from the solenoid and I don't get any response from the starter. The engine is not froze up. I even tried taking jumper cables from the battery directly to the starter and I still get nothing. HELP!!!!

Make sure the battery is good and holds a charge. Make sure wires from ignition to solonoid are on the correct terminals (try switching them around). You can also try laying a screw driver across the ignition terminals to open the solonoid and get power to the starter.
