Default Is it time to switch engines

Hi, I have purchased a 1940 *****'s coupe with Ford running gear. It has a 1985 5.0 HO Mustang engine, a C4 transmission and a 8" open rear end. I know just enough about cars to spend money on everything twice. The engine runs good, it does need some work. I had a compression test done on it and the reading came out between 105 and 115. Are the numbers good enough to run it for a while or should I just get a crate engine before I start working on the rest of the car? Thanks, Tony

sounds good, as long as the plugs aren't oily and the exhaust doesn't smoke on start up.
