Default Tuners

Has anyone used a hand held tuner? What Brand? Is this easy enough for someone with no experience? I'm a little worried that if i do something wrong i will screw something up and my car will run bad or not at all.

Default RE: Tuners

The flash tuners are very easy to use.. Although not a Mustang, my 05 PSD is running the Diablo Predator (Diablo Sport) in the 65HP range and it's putting out 390HP/715 ft/lbs torque.. When plugged into the diagnostic connector/data link connector the tool auto boots up to the vehicle.. Then just follow the 'simple' on screen prompts.. The tool 'marries' to that 'specific' vehicle, and the factory tune stays with the tool, so multipal tuning is not possible.. Tuning takes on a few minutes, even less to remove.. The tuner can be used as a code reader as well, and is internet/diablo updatable.. I've used both Diablo and SCMT and the functions are very similar.. You can go to Diablo's site and download the PDF user manual to get an idea of what to expect as far as using the tool.. If you can use a TV remote, the tuner is even easier
