Default FIPK on Crown Vic

Thought my '04 Sport needed a change so I had a K&N FIPK installed a few days ago. (It's too cold here in Mo to do it myself, I don't have a garage) so I went to my Ford dealer. Had a few kinks after installation. Check engine lite kept coming on. Code was cleared but kept coming on. Disconnected negative terminal on battery, still came on. Mechanic put a laptop on & drove it. Problem with O2. Smoke test negative. Finally changed the MAS (didn't think was causing it with 36000 miles on car but that was it. Cars performance is phenominal. Pulls better in OD at 70+ than did in kickdown. Acceleration gets your attention. When stock a floorboard start chirped the tires but now it lays down a 3-4 car length of rubber(planned to get rid of Goodyears & change to Michelins anyhow.) I thought my rev limiter was disabled since was told it limits at 104 mph & didn't have a reason to go higher. Found it works at 120 mph now. Now that I have over 36000 miles (factory warranty) they're going to flash the computer & remove it. With a light foot on the loud pedal its fairly quiet but with your foot in it you can hear the intake over the dual glasspacks. After the novelty wears off I'll do a milage check. It's the best & most fun $280 ive ever spent. Recommend it highly. I did order the optional cover for the filter & the cleaning/oiling kit.

[sm=Flahssssss.gif]Post some pics to see that K&N FIPK, I have the one that Replaces the OEM and responds great But a fiend of mine recomend me that FIPK or the Marauder with the Police 2004 zip tube but for that I have to re tune.

Default oiled filters caution

be aware some people have had material build up on their map sensor. due to over oiling their filters..
