I am a humble newbie and admit my inexperience in this area, so please, be patient with me. I am interested in doing a 351w swap on either a 1st or 2nd gen ranger. Currently I am looking at a 1992 3.0 auto as a candidate for the truck. My main question here is, can the wiring harness for the 3.0 be used to hook up the 351? I am admittedly incompetent when it comes to wiring and such. I plan on a carbureted motor so I assume the ranger’s harness would include many now useless wires, would it be simpler to start anew with a smaller harness? Any advice or tips you all may have, thank you. Also, do not hold back if I am in over my head. But I’m fairly confident with the power of YouTube as well as help from my more knowledgeable friends this is an achievable project. Again, thanks in advance.
