My 1997 Ranger is having starting problems. I get one click and nothing happens. I replace the ignition switch, the solenoid relay and the key cylinder it would start sometimes by wiggling the key or steering column but still no solution. i could get it to start by using a screwdriver on the posts on the relay but it wasn't reliable. after getting it to start this morning i turned it off but it tries to start on its own without the key in the ignition. there is also a rattling sound that just started to happen. dont know if that is coming from the starter or something else entirely. any help would be appreciated.
