2003 Standard Ranger thump in rear end
Yesterday I was sitting at the railroad tracks waiting for a train. I was sitting at an incline. I did not put my truck in neutral, I left it in first, and held down the clutch and break. When it came time to go nothing happened for a second, then a thump came from the rearend and I took off. I seriously thought I had hit the car behind me, but it was just a delay and a thump in my rear end.
This morning I drove over to my parents house, put the truck in neutral, put on the break, and left it running on flat ground while I went inside for a few minutes. When I came back out I put it into reverse, and it paused for a second and then the rear end thumped again and it took off. It drove fine to work and didn't have any problems at stop lights or stop signs.
Is there something wrong with my rearend or clutch? I tried to do some research and found people that had a similar problem that suggested greasing the slip yoke. Does this seem logical, or is it something much worse? What do you suggest I do?

There's a few open TSB's for both the slip yoke concern and rear brakes grabbing during the first few applications.. Being it's not a constant issue or condition, I wouldn't suspect any clutch/gear set problems, but would look more towards the yoke, and possibly the brakes hanging but the complaint there is usually after a longer park time....
