hey im thinking about converting my 88 ranger 2.9 liter v-6 2wd into a 4wd. any comments or advice would help on costs and what not. thanks for any help.

 

Probably more time and money than its worth. Your best route is to probably buy a 4wd chasis and swap your trucks body and motor.
To convert yours, you'd have to get a new tranny, and new front end, cut through the floor boards and put a 4wd gear shifter. Lots of money!!!
