Default 74 f100

yeah...so im sorta new...and im restorin my paps 74 f100 with a 300 i6. i know i need new struts, rotars, drums, etc etc etc. imma rebuild the engine too (if it dont run). eventually thogh, i wanna turbo or supercharge it. to my understandin, a supercharger is easeier to put it and to clean and maintaing (and ontop of that, even though its not as efficient id want a root kind) but the engine its on needs to be sturdy enough to take the added pressure, explosions etc. with the turbo, their cheaper to put on, maybe harder to maintain (idk) but does the same problem exist? i mean there both almost the same, one belt driven one exhaust driven...so im just not to sure. the engine doent have a lot of miles on it cuz it was just a farm truck, but its still old. and i dont have that much experience with engines....so maybe yall know the answer to my problem...thanks!
