Default Nobody seems to know whether my Ranger uses 2 or 3 digit trouble codes

I have a 92' Ford Ranger XLT with 2.9 V6. I have been trying to get an answer to this question. I tried dealer, Internet and the Ford website. My truck uses the EEC-IV ignition system and OBD 1 codes. When I use a code scanner, does my make/model return 2 or 3 digit trouble codes? If I knew this, it might make it easier for me to interpret the beeps.

Your Ranger has an EEC-IV OBD-1 computer. 1992-1995 uses a 3 digit code.
