Im having a hard time finding an Engine "diagnostic code reader" for my 91 Ranger 4.0 . Also, where is the connector located? Thanks.

This is the code reader I have.

I am not 100% percent sure the exact connector location on your Ranger but on my two vehicles, the connectors are located on the drivers side engine compartment, along the fender. This is what the two connectors look like.

I wasn't sure on which side on a Ranger but with the connector image, it should be hard to locate.

The self-test connector for your Ranger should be located in the engine compartment on top of the right front wheel well.
