I just bought my first car today, 1999 Ford Ranger XLT v6. Its a bit beat up but its what I could afford and Im going to enjoy fixing it up. The first problem I ecountered is that even though the doors are closed the dash says Door Ajar but they are firmly closed. Because of this the dome light and rear outside light are always on. What are some solutions some of you could provide. Another question I have is where can I find an owners manual for the car.

 

Not sure what to tell you about the door switch, but pick up a chilton and a haynes manual off of ebay. It should get you on your way.
