Default Changing oil pan gasket

Looks like my Ranger has a oil leak again, and looks like it is coming through the gasket for the oil pan.

Just a quick explanation why I am getting leaks, it was my great uncles truck, who no longer could drive and sat for almost a year.

So my question, is while I have the oil pan down, is there anything else I should check for or could do while it is off?

Oil leak again, meaning the pan has been done before? If OEM,, is the pan gasket squeezing out from between the pan/block? Whats the mileage?

Again as in oil leak, but was from the valve cover gaskets. Different area.

it has a little over 83000 miles on it. I will have to get under there again to be 100% sure, but yes it looks like between the pan and block.

When the valve cover gaskets were replaced were they replaced with the newer/upgraded 'bonded' units, or were they just aftermarket cork? Cork are usually a problem when used as replacements from heat/expansion, and tend to weep or leak at an early age.. Thats why I asked about the mileage.. The early 4.0's leaked from the valve cover gaskets, an occasional rear main, and the pan gasket from being squeezed or bulged out the sides.. Where on the pan/block is it leaking from? around therear main area, side/s ect.if you can tell...If the gasket along the blocks side/s looks like a sausage link tightened between the sealing surfaces then the gasket is probably failing.. Sometimes from a 'fish mouth' around the pan bolts to the outside, or from the gasket shift..

Yes, the first leak was from the valve cover gaskets. It is a 4.0ltr. I replaced it with aftermarket cork I got from Kragen. This was about 6 months ago. What a PITA to do. I also replaced the intake manifold gasket since there was one that came with the valve cover gaskets.

The leak is coming from the front driver side corner of the oil pan. You can see alot of oil accumulated around the bolt and surrounding area.
