New here, hope someone can help. 99' Ranger

I said I wasn't going to do it, but it happened anyway - I pushed the cigarette lighter and its socket back into the dash holeand I can't figure how toget at itto put it back in its place, or do I need to replace it (as everything dimmed when it happened)?
