Default Door Chime--Would Like to Disable!

Hi All!

I have an annoying door chime that goes off when my key is in the ignition and the door is ajar. I have searched on the Web for remedies, but they are all for newer trucks, mainly the F-150 series. Can anyone give me advice on how I can go about disabling this chime?

Thank you,

Todd

Look in Chiltons or Haynes manual for the location of the speaker and then disconnect it. You could try to pull the fuse but I'm not sure which one to pull.

i would not pull the fuse. i have heard of some rangers maybe not yours but if you pull it it makes other stuff go off.... your better off disconnecting it.

i would assume that if its like the older buzzer type warning devices that you could get under the dash as its ringing and locate the buzzer/chime and disconnect it from the harness. it sould just plug in ,if it effects anything else replace it. or see if there is another (tone) available through aftermarket..even if its listed for a 150 try matching it up ,odds are they are all the same anyway
