drive train noise

Default drive train noise

i own a 2002 4x4 ranger. i hear a slapping or clunking noise when i shift. i wiggled the front of the drive shaft and could produce a clunk. anyone experience anything similar?

i would look into having the Universal joints checked...

i thought about the universal joints but am not sure they would be bad as the truck only has 33, 000 miles on it

like patrick said check the u-joints and if you replace one replace them all.
