Default ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON

Anyone aware of a problem with the engine light coming on and the truck losing power and stalling while driving? It starts right back up again, but I stalled 3 times in about 10 minutes. I have a 2000 Ranger, 3.0L.

Air filter, spark plugs and catalytic converter. Ususally the top three culprits.

Does it stall as if it were starving for gas? Since your engine is losing power while driving, you could have a stopped up Ford catalytic converter. Do you hear any kind of unusual rattling from underneath the truck while driving. If so this will indicate the converter is broken and stopping the flow of the exhaust(restricting the exhaust system). Good luck!!!
