Default How do I know if my truck is 3.0 or 4.0?

I have a 2005 ranger edge 2 seaters, not an extra cap. When searching for parts, there are 2 models: 3.0 and 4.0. Is there a way to find out if my truck is a 3.0 or 4.0?
Thanks.

The 8th digit of your vehicle's vin indicates engine type.
E=4.0 SOHC (Single overhead cam)
U= 3.0 EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection)
1= 3.0 DOHC (Dual overhead Cam)

it's a U. So mine is a 3.0 EFI.
Thanks Hanky
