Mustang wheels onto a Ranger?

I think the bolt patterns are the same. What about the size of the hub centers on a Mustang? I hope to find a cheap 4 cylinder Ranger and would like to install current or late model 16" or 17" wheels on it. Would that work?

I Know I sold my old 95 mustang rims to a guy that installed on mid 90s ranger and there was no problem there. Looked a little funny though with pony in the center.
