I took my truck in because the 4 wheel drive was having problems and I was told the transfer case is bad and should be replaced. I found one on ebay someone is selling but how do I find out if it will fit on my truck? Is there someway to find a part # or a website that will list the part numbers for a specific truck? I have a 2001 Ranger 4x4 off road automatic V6 4.0 V.I.N 1FTZR15E01PA72316.

 

i suggest phoning around to wreckers, i'm wondering why the transfer case is gone only after a few years, i have a 92 and mine works perfectly fine, do you come to a complete stop when you shift in to 4x4?
