hey guys with my freinds whos going to school to become a mechaninc he helped me with my hoist and bolts on the engine the only problem im having is do i completely have to take the front of the transmission off to lower the oil pan that was the only thing holding it up while he raised the engine in the my book it says to take the axe arm out to but it dosnt look in the way do have to take the arm off and if i do do i have to take the front of the transmission off its the cover where you put the starter in the its the peice that is flexible on it you should know what im talking about do i have to take all the bolts up to the top of the tranmission just to take that off to take off my oil pan thank you for your anwerss.

Doesyour oil pan have the sump (the big bowl part that hangs down and has all the oil in and the drain plug at the bottom) at the front or back of the motor?
