Default oil pressure showing 0

On cool mornings, when I start my 2000 ranger, 3L , the oil pressure reads 0, for about 30 seconds. After that it reads fine. This does not happen during warm weather. What could it be?

Like to know what a mechanical pressure reader says, then maybe just replace sending unit.

Needs new updated oil sender. Part # 1U5Z-9278-DA at your local Ford dealer.
