Could be idle control sensor.Simple to change only 2 bolts and 1 plug. When you have it off check to make sure both holes are open,if that don`t help check air flow sensor and EGR valve.

You can clean the iac to be sure that is your problem. Take some carb cleaner and spray into both ports of the iac once you remove it. Let it soak for about 15 minutes and then just start cleaning it with the spray. If that fixes your problem, it will be fixed for a while, so you don't have to buy one to find out.

Now for the rest of the problems, your cooling system probably has air in it. With the newer design radiators, heater cores and degas bottles, filling a system has gotten to be fun. There is a tool now to pull a vacuum on the cooling system and then inject coolantwith the same tool. Works like charm. And you don't have to come back and fill and fill and fill, the system. As for the rough idle, has it always been rough and how rough? Do you have a check engine lite on? 3.0L engines do not idle real smooth. Is it a miss, or you just expect it to idle smoother?
