Rear end trouble

Default Rear end trouble
I just chipped some teeth off my LSD rear end of my 1998 Ford Ranger 3.0 which i believe comes with a 7.5 rear end. I am wondering my friend has a 8.8 rear end from a F-15- i was wondering if i can just do a straight swap either of the whole rear end of possible just the LSD gears
