Default Rear main seal and oil pan

I have a 1999 Automatic Ford Ranger. It has 90,000 miles on it and about 6 months ago I had the transmission dropped to change out the oil pan because of a leak. They told me to change out the rear main seal too just to be safe. I paid $900 for all of this and now my rear main seal (the new one) is leaking. The gears are also messe dup. When I am in Drive, the gauge looks like it is in 2nd and it is this way for all gears. Is this due to a mistake they made when dropping transmission? I feel like I have been completely jipped. Im not sure if he will fix this for free or not but I dont know what to do if he wont. There is also a loud clicking noise that just started...sounds like a belt, and power is low when excellerating. Please give any feedback. Thanks
