Go to an auto parts store and borrow or buy the special tool used to remove radios. Push the tool into the 2 holes oneach side of the radio to release the catches/locks and the radio should easily pull out of the dash. You could also make your own tool out of stiff/rigid wire (bicycle spokes work well for this). I haven't seen a Ranger radio, but all or most Ford radios can be removed this way. Simply push the radio back into the opening and it will again lock into place.
