Default Replacing my Front Bumper

Two years ago, at a stop, I was hit from behind. The hit pushed me into the car ahead of me. The damage to my truck ( 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 2 WD) was cosmetic -- the grill, rear and front bumper, and valance.

I'm just getting around to fixing the damage. I went to the dealership to price the parts: Grill 126.; Ft. Bumper 359.; Valance 200. I knew it was going to be expensive. But not this expensive.

Went on line, and look at a couple of online part dealers. I would save about 50% if I went with aftermarket parts.

Has anyone had good and/or bad experiences using aftermarket body parts?

Thanks

Drake

I dont know what state you live in or if there is a junkyard close by you, GO to a junkyard. You can find all kinds of stuff and the only thing wrong with it is that its dirty. You can clean the dirt off. I got a hood for 40, rear bumper w/bumper pad for 30, grille 15, and headlight was 20. Junkyards are great!! Factory parts for cheap.

We've used a lot of aftermarket panels and parts.. There are some better than others.. Usually the parts that are CAPA Certified are pretty good.. We use ECO Automotive as a vendor, but sure they are getting there pieces from a shared importer..

Here's a truck I recently fixed.. Before,, and after... All with aftermarket pieces..
