it turns out that the distributor was off a little, but because there was some paint on the timing wheels, i couldn't find perfect t.d.c. i scratched off the paint and found the mark. it finaly fired and ran. all it needs now is a little fine tuning. i would just like to thank "use common sence" for all of the help. the diagram was a big help, so thank you.
