Default Transmission issue

It's an automatic transmission guys. I recently had it repaired because of a jerking problem due to the solenoid. However when we got back the truck it accelerates very slowly and after about 3 seconds of mashing the accelerator about half the way or to the floor, it picks up...it's almost as tho the transmission doesn't start off in 1st gear...any ideas or suggestions as to why I have this problem

there's an easy way to find out. Put the truck in Manual 2 and pull out from a stop normally. Do the same in Man. 1, then go to man 2, and see if it gets any better. If it does, the trans isn't shifting into first. Check the shift linkage, and move the shifter around. If it does change it, then adjust the linkage.
