I just bought this truck for my son. I ran it about 150 miles yesterday to check the mileage. The drive was 60% 65 mph, 30% 70 mph and 10% 55 mph. I got 20.56 miles/ gallon. I have no idea how that compares to others so I hope others post

I live in the NYC New Jersey area w/2002 Ranger Edge 2wd auto extended 67000 miles. I have a tonnoue cover and get 15.5 locally and 20.5 to 23 on open highway rolling 70 to 75 w/ cruise control.

My rattle-trap '89 2300 4-speed overdrive with 4-11 gear ( I think) that is just getting ready to turn over 200,000 mile used to get 20 mpg all the time. A while back it suddenly dropped to about 15 without much noticeable change in running. I have been trying to figure out what it's deal is, and found that the EGR vacuum switch had fallen apart. I hope if I can get another that will get it back.
I asked a guy that I was working with that had an early 90's 2300 what kind of mileage he got and he told me 28 (???) It made me wonder if that was what mine should be able to do.

Default 1995 ford ranger

I have a 1995 ford ranger with a 2.3 l straight 4 5 speed manual. For a 4 cyl this truck will get up and GO! The other day i wasnt paying attention and had it going 90 and my rpms were only 2300. But my city mileage is about 22 and my highway under 70 will get me about 27 and that is with a bed cover as well.
