Default Wiring problem????

I have a '91 Ranger with a 2.9L A couple months ago it would stall during warm up period, but it would restart right away and run fine.. It quit doing this after a couple weeks and ran fine for awhile. Now when I went to leave work the other night everything was dead. Had a friend jump start it and all the way home the headlights would kinda dim every once in awhile and the battery light flashed on and off all the way home (40 miles). The volt gauge also jumped around alot. I had the battery, starter, and alternator tested and all were good. The only way I can get it to start is by jumping it, then volt gauge still jumps around. Could it be a sorted wire somewhere??? Where would be a good place to start looking?? I had it running and did the wiggle test with all the wires I could get ahold of with no results.

Default RE: Wiring problem????

i had the same problem on an 86 escort gt i had once, is the battery clean and are the cables in good condition? also check to make sure you have good contact at point of origin and on the battery. my problem was that the negative battery cable was loose were it bolted to the starter!
