A flashing CEL is a warning that an excessive 'fuel rich' condition exists that can potentially damage the exhaunt systems catalytic converters. it's best not to continue to drive it and have it corrected ASAP. If there's a Autozone or other large auto parts vendor close by they'll generally read the trouble code at no cost as a service to their customers. That would be a help to determine the cause, but too much or continued driving has the potential to do more and expressive damage. Engine misfires, unmetered/over fuel conditions etc can cause the trouble lamp. Without the trouble code/s it's hard to lend any specific direction.
