Default 1993 Ford Taurus Trouble

My car died yesterday, tripple A, came to test the battery it showed "low" not "bad" they jump started it, i drove it home fine,

Today i went to work, car was fine, im on way home, and the battery light comes up, and then as im driving, the steering wheel, basically locks up, i was still able to turn, but it was really really difficult, i thought i was going to crash, so i got the car jumped again, it starts up, however battery light is still on, and then, the steering wheel, still locks up,

is this a bad battery problem? or something else, do i need to buy a new battery, also, i noticed alot of leakage, when this happened, coming from the passenger side of the vehicle, could that be from over flowing of coolant fluid?

You need to get the charging system tested. Sounds like along with a weak battery, the alternator may not be charging up to its full capacity.
