I'm new so be gentle, please.
I want to disable my anti-theft on my car. how do i do it? The chilton and hames books were no help and it will probably cost wayyyy too much to take to the dealer.

First off, why would you want to? It protects you from having your car stolen. Secondly, if your talking about the pats system, that is the key and antitheft light system, I'm pretty sure you can't. The PCM is the final word on that system. It decides whether or not to entergize the fuel pump and on some vehicles, the ignition system also. It must get a signal from the key, through the transciever, in combination with the instrument cluster, in order for it to turn the rest of the system on. The newer systems also have starter interupt added to the system. So you see, disabling it may not be an option.
