2002 Wagon bottoms out with light load.
We have a wagon that if you put 40lbs or so in the rear it drops substantially. We like to load up the dogs and kiddo and head out for the weekend and the car will drag on the driveway. For that matter you can't go to the store without tearing up the rear bumper. We had a '93 wagon that never did this. I would like to find a supplemental airbag system with an auto ride height regulator if such a kit exists. My other thought is to take the factory rear suspension out and install an air suspension in its place.
Anybody have any ideas???
Thanks!

Well here's an update.
Through some friends in the aftermarket 4x4 buisness I was directed to Air Lift Inc. As it would happen they make a set of load assist airbags that fit the Taurus and Taurus Wagon rear springs. Thay claim the install only takes about an hour for the bags. I am installing a small (1.5 gallon) air tank and a 12volt compressor in the rear. As for controling it the company offers many options, however I am using a ride height controler off of and airride suspension from a dumptruck. it will automatically add air when the rear is pushed down and bleed off extra pressure when the load is removed. No driver input needed.
I will update again when I finish the install.
