Wanted to know if your steering wheel radio buttons light up at night?

Noticed mine have never worked and was wondering if this was by design.

Figured I would send a post here.

 

I suppose 2009, 2010 and 2012 Ford Taurus Owners may chime in as well.

Want to know if your buttons on your steering wheel illuminate when lights are on?

I have a 2011 and they don't. Want to see if this is normal or if I have a possible fuse blown somewhere. I have had the car for almost 2 years and the steering wheel buttons have never lit up.
