2019 Taurus jump start
I recently needed a jump start and now the AC and radio do not work and the heater blower runs as soon as ignition is switched on. Dealer says new a battery req'd (not so) and want to charge to diagnose, but owners manual suggests it needs reset. I would be happy just to pull the fuse for heater blower as I live in Florida and never need it. Any suggestions?
We should check and determine why the vehicle needed a jump and go from there.
Anytime late year vehicles, Ford, have battery replaced or lose their charge, reprogramming becomes required.
You might try a forced reset. Remove negative cable from battery, hold that cable end against the positive battery cable end for a few minutes. This allows the memory to go away and start new. If battery is charged, when you start the engine, don't touch the throttle pedal and it will set it's idle speed. Then drive it normally and it will relearn your driving habits.
There are some videos that you might check to get a clearer understanding of what I suggested.
