I just acquired an 87 ford taurus for $200.00. It hardly moves though, i know these cars are notorious for there "explode-a-tranny" (as ive been told). i was wondering if anyone actually knew what went wrong with these transaxles. its only got 37,000 miles on it and hardly any rust at all. It barely moves/tries to movein all gears.i figured i'd start with a filter and then check the line pressure. Any ideas would help thanks.
