Just inherited a 1993 Taurus w/ 48,000 miles (Grandmas Car). I noticed that there have been quite a few recalls since then on certain parts and conditions. Does anyone have any advice on what I should or can do regarding making sure the car is safe to drive?

Also, I have a stuttering when accelerating around 25 - 35 mph. I had a similar problem with my Honda Odyssey and it was a bad EGR problem. Does anyone have similar experiences with a problem like this?

Sorry to hear about your lose.
If thier recalls, I think a dealer would have to take care of you, but most are just Technical Service Bullents, you might even find a fix for the stutter in them.
